Opposition Schools
Every school of magic (including the Reality subschools) have a single opposing school of magic. Practitioners of one specific school can never learn spells of the opposing school. Living Spells are vulnerable to spell abilities of their opposition school, receiving either double damage dealt or subtracting the opposing casters casting modifier from their save roll if the spell does not deal damage. This multiplication does not apply to Ability Damage or Drain, nor Negative Levels. Furthermore counterspelling a spell can be done with any spell of its opposing school, so long it is of equivalent level.
Divine Spellcasting
Divine spellcasters need not worry about the school of their spells, as they are not Living, and are only restricted by the Alignment of the Divine being gifting the magic to them.
Occult Spellcasting
Likewise, Occult spellcasters have no need to worry about their spells having wills of their own, as they are likely already painfully aware of the strongly opinionated higher beings from which they borrow their power.
Druidism
Druidic magic has been lost to time. The Druids were a traditionally hermetic people on Elysium, and when they disappeared from the world the secret of their magic disappeared along with them. It is not known what happened to the Druidic people.
Sorcery
Sorcerers are exceedingly rare, to be born with an innate connection to magical forces as a mortal in this setting is an alien concept. It is theorized that only a handful of sorcerers exist across the entire universe.
Please note that this list is by no means comprehensive, if you find content that is not on this list in any category then feel free to bring it up to your DM.
